Hey guys. I have an old laptop that I'd like to convert into a machine to run League of Legends. That will be its sole purpose in life. Its processor's integrated graphics run it terribly so it'll need a beefier desktop GPU. What are the tools I need to successfully use a PCIe GPU (Nvidia 9600 GSO) with it? And also what's the cheapest way to do it? Thanks guys.

I can't exactly vouch for the vidock but I have read about it and it does work but the setup would cost more than a dedicated gaming pc.

Egpus get asked quite a bit actually. The vidock is quite expensive; the minimum one you need would be $265. But everyone usually just goes diy, which the adapter is ~$100 and just get a decent $30 psu. It's still quite expensive and in most cases you could get a better laptop with just selling the old one plus the money you would have spent on the extra hardware for an egpu. I'd need to know your exact laptop model to know what ports you have available and if it would even require you to take the whole laptop apart just to get to the port.
