Cheap PSU or normal issues?

I bought an EVGA 600w bronze PSU for my latest build (4570 with a gtx 770), and have run into a couple of issue. It's enough power for now, but the connection from the PSU to the cord seems to be too sensitive; if I wiggle the cord it's fine, but with a tiny bit of horizontal force to the physical plug, it's off. Also, one of the molex connectors' wires randomly came uprooted (thankfully they're useless to me). It's non modular, so the faulty cable has to be tucked away.

This will be my main PC in college next year and it CAN"T fail on me. Should I invest in a new PSU to be safe, or are these common issues that I will find with a Corsair Gold rated 750w for example?

Thanks for any future advice!

I'll likely be investing in this with my graduation money; I found a cheaper version on Newegg that is bronze rating. I wont be paying for electric any time soon, but is the build quality significantly better with "Gold" rating? Also, do you know of any good red modular cords that are long enough and sleeved?
