Now, I am experiencing coil whine. Yes I know. I do not wish to create another coil whine thread I just have a few questions.

I used a rolled up piece of paper to try and narrow down where it is coming from. 100% the GPU. Can this still be caused by my power supply? How does that work?

I have no problem RMAing this thing away but I don't want to become that guy going onto his third GPU with coil whine problems. I have read of so many complaints and the more I read I feel like the less i know. Is this a problem that is more common with 780Ti's. I don't have much of a problem downgrading to a 780 if that will solve the problem. I am gaming in 1080 so the ti was overkill to begin with.

What is the best way for me to proceed to end the whine?

Can we create a flow-chart style of steps for someone experiencing coil whine?

I cant use my PC. Getting a headache from this. Please help guys.

You can verify that it is the GPU by simply switching it out or removing it.

Have you asked EVGA about it? Since the graphics card is brand new, I would definitely RMA it.

I know of no procedure that is going to eliminate the GPU coil whine. You could try a different power supply, but there isn't much else to do.
