Hi guys I'm new to computer building and I've created this build right here.
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Damien_Wo/saved/4yNp

I'm going to be using it for slight gaming and perhaps a bit of Photoshop here and there. I would prefer an attractive looking case as we'll.

Any suggestions or alternative builds? :)

^ Ehh, it would be $20-$30 cheaper still. You're right that he's getting it at a great price though... but a decent H87 motherboard is no less reliable than z87, just has fewer features.

Jameson Clark, you have a good point there about the CX series - the OP should go with a Seasonic, FSP, Antec, any of those would be good.

(And yes, SSDs are wonderful.)
You don't need a z87 board since you can't overclock that processor. A cheaper h87 board will suffice.

I would just grab DDR3-1600MHz ram, as it's really not going to make a performance difference.

You really only need a 500GB hard drive? You can buy 1TB for $13 more. Also, no SSD?

Decent pick on the graphics card, though if your budget can stretch at all you should get a GTX 760 or used GTX 670.

Way too expensive power supply - you only need a 500w PSU as-is, 550w maximum with a graphics card upgrade.

only suggestions would be that the corsair CX series have received a lot of flak lately as they arent particularly reliable so another psu might be a good idea. Also i agree that a ssd would make boot times and loading screens faster, i too enjoy my samsung 840 evo 120 gb ssd

i too was going to suggest a different mobo but he really is getting a great price for it so a B or H 87 mobo thats reliable wont really be much cheaper
