Corsair Vengeance (4x4GB) kit, 2 of them just died

Hey guys,

for whatever reason 2 of my sticks died, had them for a couple of years. I was wondering if I can buy 2 single ones to replace the dead ones?

The kit I have is CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9B 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24, 1.5V

Should be able to replace

They have same specs so should work without issues.

Would recommend you 2x4GB kit to have less RAM mixing

All corsair DRAM memory modules have a lifetime warranty, just get them replaced for free. As long as you didn't overclock them like crazy or do anything dodgy to them Corsair are fine with it.

SuctionDrop, yeah I noticed that after posting, the only issue is since I bought this as a kit, they're asking to send them the entire kit, and won't be able to use my computer for how ever long it takes for the RMA process...

Maybe its the RAM slots, did you change the CPU cooler recently? Have you tried running one of them in a different slot?

I cycled all the RAMs one by one and 2 of them wouldn't post. I actually haven't touched my PC since I built it about 2 years ago. Got a BSOD out of the blue last night, kind of weird that 2 of them failed simultaneously..

The ones that died were in slots 3 and 4. My current configuration is 1 and 3 and they're working fine, I'll probably run Memtest tonight to be safe. My computer does seem to run a bit faster without those 2 modules though, which is kind of odd I guess

That's why I don't feel like sending all 4 sticks, don't have any back up ones while waiting for the RMA

I might be a good idea to get some for backup purposes though
