when i plug my camera into usb port my mouse stops working

If the pictures are on a memory card, it's much easier just to buy an inexpensive card reader, plug it in to your laptop's USB port, then put the memory card in to the correct slot on the card reader. The generic Microsoft driver for all card readers is built in to Windows so there's no need for you to install one, it will be installed automatically the first time you plug it in to your laptop.
