hi guys sometimes my powercolor hd 7790 turbo duo is reaching 90 degrees above and then my computer will shutdown. it is happening when im playing in high/ultra settings. is it normal or there is a problem with my card? thanks

Solution
Those temperatures are a bit too high, did the card always work like that?

Looks like you have to reapply the thermal paste.

Your computer is shutting down because the GPU is reaching 95ºC, it's a safety measure to prevent some nasty stuff like melting of metal.

Check if the fan is spinning, that might be the problem, is your computer case well ventilated? No cable nests on top of the graphics card?

If none of those measures solve the issue, try to acquire some thermal paste, clean what's left on the graphics card and reapply.

To improve cooling in your computer case, you could take the CPU cooler out, the memory sticks, the graphics card and the PSU, and get everything dusted out. Use a compressed air can and the dust will come out, trust me on that!

Also, I own a HP computer and I know how messy the cables can be, I even dismounted every piece of my PC and mounted it back on, while managing the wiring as well, the result is a much better ventilated and dust free computer, no rat nests!

When reapplying thermal paste, get rid of what's already on the GPU, watch some youtube videos about how to apply thermal paste and do it!
