I am looking to upgrade my GPU to the Sapphire Tri-x 290x. I currently have a Corsair 750w power supply and was wondering if that would be enough to power the card if I do not overclock?

My system specs are:
i5 3570k not overclocked
8gb of DDR3 1333mhz RAM
1 2tb HDD
AS ROCK Pro4 ATX Mobo
Hyper 212 Evo
Corsair 750w PSU
3 120mm LED fans
3 140mm LED fans
NZXT Hue RGB LED system
CD Read Write Drive

Thanks a bunch,
Tyler

The minimum power requirement is fake, i have 2 corsair tx750. one is powering a system with 2 3870x2 and a phenom ii x6 1055t overclocked to 3.5ghz. The other one was powering a system with 2 reference HD 6970 and a AMD FX-8320 overclocked to 4.5ghz and now i changed the 2 6970 for 2 Sapphire R9 290 tri-x. YES that's right, I just wanted to see how bad was the consumption before i upgraded to an EVGA 1300w power supply BUT now with 2 R9 290 tri-x, my power supply doesn't get any hotter in 3dmark than with 2 HD 6970, in fact, its cooler. I didn't touch to anything yet in powertune.

Also ask yourselves, how a single R9 290 would consume as much as 2 3870x2? Because 2 3870x2 consume a lot more than a R9 290 and in crossfire (so 4 gpus) it requires only 750w. Also the GTX 780 Ti consume more than a R9 290 and it's requirement is 600w.
Stop the bullshit about thoses gpus, a lot of people say you need 1k watt for 2 cards and 750 watts for one but they have actually never owned a R9 290. Also keep in mind that my CPU is overcloked and my power supply is about 3.5 years old and it wasn't so lightly used.

Here's my specs:
AMD FX-8320 overclocked to 4.5ghz
16GB of DDR3 2133mhz
1TB caviar black
Asus Crosshair V formula-z
Noctua NH-D14
5 120mm LED fans
2 140mm fans
Antec dark-fleet DF-85
And obviously 2 Sapphire R9 290 tri-x
