Shutdown after 20 mins of gaming...sometimes

Computer instantly shuts off after about 20-25 minutes of gaming, sometimes. I have ran, Prime95, while running HDTune read/write test, while running GPU benchark software for hours on end. Won't die. Start playing GTA IV or Skyrim or something....20 mins later it dies but not all the time. Checked PSU for damage, no visible issues like blown caps for anything. I managed to get a SpeedFan log the last time it crashed. What do you guys think, can the PSU go bad without throwing off voltages? The PSU is quite old, probably 7 years I have had to replace the fan in it already because of bearing noise.. Also, there is an anomalous "04" on the last line where the other lines are "2.04," IDK if it was writing that line when it died or if that is a clue. Windows reliability reports it as an improper shutdown with no other issues logged. System is not overclocked currently and all auto-shut down features have been disabled.

Spent all available funds on everything else. CAN splurge on a power supply but I have to KNOW it's the problem. I don't have another computer to test this one on and the only other PSU I have if definitely underpowered for this system. Also, the HDDs are old too, but haven't had any issues. One of them is from back when 1TB drives were first out.

Hooked up both PSU's at once, 300W Antec running motherboard/CPU and the CoolerMaster running everything else, problem is gone. Played GTA IV for 1/2 hour then skyrim for another 1/2 hour, no shut down. Problem, therefore, must be the PSU. Now I get to drop $70 on a Capstone 450W.
