Is it safe to buy components in India?

I'm planning to visit Chennai in India soon, and build my cousin a gaming PC. I have some questions to those who have built PCs in Chennai:
First, is it safe to ship components to your house?
Second, which store did you use to buy your parts?
Third, should I just buy it from a retail store to avoid shipping hassles if there are any? If so, what are some retail stores in India that sell components?

i do not live in india...but i think they have to sell the same hardwares , we have here in america
just do not buy hardwares made in *&(?$/"$"%*?( thats it
