All motherboard with a PCI-E slot supports any ATI/NVIDIA PCI-E GFX card. The only diffrence is weather or not the board supports multiple cards of the same type (Crossfire for ATI, SLI for NVIDIA).
Nforce motherboards support SLI, most everything else supports crossfire.
+ remember to uninstall all old GPU drivers and install new GPU drivers. Don't want to have your pc not being able to find your new GPU or looking for the old GPU.

My opinion, the GTX 550ti is dual slot pci-express card & that Mobo does have 16x pci express slot, I need more info on the case & PSU to tell u more
