Solution

Once again go to the maker of the motherboard, if it is a home built system, or to the manufactures web page, if it is a prebuilt like Dell Acer e-machines ect. , and you can download the proper driver. Once downloaded, run the program and it will install it for you.

simple solution.

to see if there is a driver you need to go to device manager and click on the "network adapters". this will tell you what driver is installed. If you are on that PC now then there is a driver installed, could be the generic windows driver but it is installed. If no driver is installed, the PC will not connect to the network, then go...
OK do you think you uninstalled the driver? or did you take the connector off of the cable? did you physically rip the Ethernet connection port off of the motherboard?

most likely you uninstalled the driver. If this is the case you can go to the motherboard manufactures web site and look up your motherboard and download the driver from them and install it.

If it was a prebuilt machine you can go to the manufactures web site and in support look up your PC and download the drivers from them.

the other 2 things I mentioned like the cable, just replace it if that is the case because a special tool is required to put a new end on it. Next thing is if you ripped the port off the motherbaord you will need to buy a new motherboard.

Go to device manager (Control Panel/System/Device Manager) and look for the uninstalled device. If it is listed with a "?" or a "!" right click on it and select reinstall. The device should be listed under Network adapters in Device Manager. Usually simply rebooting windows will re-install deleted devices. Did you delete the drivers for some reason? If so you may need to download them from your MB's site.
