Hello,

I have a problem regarding a Usb hard drive, which prevent me to start up programs. I have not had this problem before. It began a few days ago. I have a Windows 8 tablet (Acer Iconia W700 intel i5 ) which only has one Usb Output (USB 3.0) I therefore use a Usb 3.0 hub with four outputs, that I suspect might cause the problem. I've connected mice, keyboard and printer to my tablet, but it does not look like they are the cause of preventing programs, the way my Usb hard drive does.
It is a Westen Digital Elements Usb 3.0, 1000 GB hard drive. Since the problem occurred, Windows has indicated that there is errors on the drive, and therefore will proceed scan the drive and fix the problems. There is also times when it failed to recognize the drive, and it's only listed in "My Computer" as "F: Harddirive without access.

To the problem. When the hard drive is connected, I can't log in and I can't start programs like Battle Net, Origin and Steam, which uses the hard drive, because it has games on it. After removing the hard drive and started the programs , I can not access the hard drive.

Does anyone have the same problem? I have not been able to find the problem anywhere on the Internet or Tom's Hardware .

Thanks in advance ,
Tonur
