My employer was getting rid of some dell towers and we got some TEAC CA-200 card readers. The connection looks like USB 2.0, but it has plastic ridges that block it from going into the USB on the motherboard. My stepson wants to know if he can clip off the extra plastic, but I think it may risk his board.
Is the TEAC CA-200 (p/n 1930930B02) usable in something other than DELL? Can we use a different type of cable for it?
