Hey guys, so pretty straight forward, I'm looking for the best headset to get for around 150$ or less. All I want from it is to be able to wach movies or game or whatever on PC and also have the game sound coming out of the headset on PS3 as my current headset only allows mic chat to play through. Also, will there be a problem with having my game sound going through my headset instead of HDMI, as I record with an Elgato Capture Card? Thanks guys :)

Since the Elgato only has hdmi out you'd have to split the audio to your headset somehow. You'd need to get a splitter that splits HDMI into video and audio signals. Since it's digital it'll most likely split it into SPDIF or optical. Then another adapter to get the optical into analog (for most headphones).

Another option is to get a bluetooth headset and connect it to ps3 and then set it up so that it outputs audio to both headphones and the t.v (hdmi). Im not sure if there is an option to do that on the ps3 but if there is that's the best way.

Before getting a headset, you'd need to find a way to get the headphones connected while still recording sound.

My current headset could connect both by Bluetooth and wireless USB and it didn't output sound either way, and I'm 100% sure the PS3 can't output sound by USB or Bluetooth anyways. So what would be a splitter you could recommend?

It's pretty simple, but theres a lot of wires and plugging in to do. Ill make a list for you

For the mic: Plug the mic jack into the usb adapter, then the usb into the ps3.

For audio: Plug hdmi into capture card. Plug output from card to the splitter. Then hdmi from splitter to T.V
Plug spdif output from splitter to analog adapter. Plug headphones to the adapter.
