16 GIG RAM Intall

I have taken out my two G-Skill 4 gigs for two 8 GiGs ( 16GB Set) but windows only registers with 8. Is it that it can only use 8? Running an AMD FX 8350 on a Sabertooth 990FX, no over clocking. OS - Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit.

If you installed the RAM modules in different color slots, install both in two same color slots. You can install them in either brown or beige slots but preferably in slots 1 and 2... which I believe are the brown slots.
If that doesn't make a difference, reset the BIOS either removing the battery for 5 to 10 minutes or follow the instructions at the ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 Support.

Yeah if I put them in the beige spots, they aren't recognized but if they are installed in the brown slots then they register fine. Great support fellas and I thank you for taking your time out to help out. Much appreciation.
