F1 key acts as if it's pressed down constantly

So recently I have been having a problem where the F1 key is being constantly pushed even when the key is not pressed down. I thought maybe it was the keyboard but I plugged in a different 100% working keyboard and it's still happening, I was wondering if it might be something to do with windows. Anyone have anything I could try to fix this as it gets in the way of programs like constantly opening and closing menus etc.

Boot into safe mode and check if it happens there. You may also try some malware scans with your antivirus and/or malwarebytes. If this is a USB keyboard have you tried different ports?

This problem is not related to the OS as I'm understanding the problem... I boot into a linux OS, but the problem was yet found... it was not seen in safe mode, but I didn't work long in that mode (sometimes it takes time to happen)

All I can say is to give it a thorough scan, check your OS, google it or maybe a problem with the port. Also check if any of the files you downloaded recently might be corrupted or qa driver or bios
