Hello there,

So i have this problem, im currently trying to setup an windows deployment server,(using virtualbox since i want to try it out before i actually buy a server and such), anyways so when i try to boot from the network with my reference computer the the only thing that comes up is this black screen where it says the following :

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1
PXE Software copyrhight (c) 1997-2000 Intel corporation
Copyright (c) 2010 oracle corporation

Client MAC ADDR: 08 00 27 59 84 E0 Guid: E530AE60-0FA7-453F-8914-F2525F18D753
Client IP 10.0.2.15 MASK: 255.255.255.0 DHCP IP: 10.0.2.2
Gateway IP: 10.0.2.2
TFTP
PXE-T02: Option negotiation failure (file not found or inaccessible?)
PXE- E3C: TFTP ERROPR - Acess Violation
PXE-M0F: Exiting intel PXE Rom
FATAL: Could not read from the boot medium! Sytem Halted.

And for the life of me i can not figure out what's wrong

Does anyone know whats wrong?

Thanks in advance

It is sometimes a little hard to get it to work on a virtualbox. Why? because the network settings in virtualbox have to be configured a specific way to work. Besides the pc where virtualbox is installed checkes the data that comes in and goes out and maybe blocks it.

It can work in virtualbox, but maybe you can try it with a dualboot or something like that.

What are the settings on the windows server?

open virtualbox and right click on your machine.
Click settings.
Go to "network".
Then you see "connected to" click that and click on "network bridge adapter".
Then click a little below on advanced.
And select allow all in the second option.

Now try again to connect.

If it still don't connect try again with antivirus turned off.

If it still don't work you have not placed the pxe files to start up at the right place, but first check the above.

So, i have tried the following steps that you mentioned, but i still get a error, but this time its different.
This time it says :

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1
PXE Software copyrhight (c) 1997-2000 Intel corporation
Copyright (c) 2010 oracle corporation

Client MAC ADDR: 08 00 27 59 84 E0 Guid: E530AE60-0FA7-453F-8914-F2525F18D753
PXE-E53: No Boot Filename Received

PXE-M0F: Exiting intel pxe ROM
Fatal: Could not read from the boot medium! System halted.

So it should be the pxe files that's wrong.

i have followed this guide : http://blogs.technet.com/b/danstolts/archive/2010/03/11/deploy-windows-7-the-easy-way-using-wds-mdt-and-aik-step-by-step-video.aspx
untill the part where you should boot from the network, since im stuck here

Thanks in advance
