My dad's letting me build a computer for a graduation present and I have a budget of about $2500 (maybe more if I can save up some extra), and I was wondering which video card I should go with. I want to be able to max out games if possible (Watch Dogs, upcoming 2014/2015 games) and I want to do video editing and hopefully 3D modeling if my build can handle it.

At the moment I've decided on an Asus Maximus Hero IV motherboard and I was considering going with Intel Core i7-4770K, but people have been telling me to go i5 instead so I'm still unsure on that. I haven't got a monitor yet, but I'm not going to have multiple monitors (not yet, at least. Might change in the future).

Anyway, any advice on video cards?

If you are going for a massive build like that, then I recommend the i7. It'll also help a lot for the modeling and video editing. The hero is a great choice. For that price I'd go for a 4k monitor and a 780ti. Though a single 780ti probably can't play most games at 4k, you can play at 1440p and have your desktop at 4k.

Do you think it'd be better going with two gtx 780s instead of one gtx 780ti, or not? Since two 780s is about $150 more expensive than a single 780ti where I live.

Usually it's recommended to have 1 better gpu, but in this case I think that might be a better option because its really high quality gaming and I doubt you're gonna upgrade. On the other hand if you think you might add a 780ti to your rig later on, then that is a much better option, a great pc now, and 4k ready later.
