Like Karan Thakur said, get Chrome or Firefox my friend :) First off though you probably will need to sort out IE so you can download one of them (or both so you can see which you prefer), start windows in normal mode as you do and when it's loaded up and you've logged on, at the desktop press "Windows key + R" to open the Run window, now copy and paste this below
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff
and press the enter key, if it loads up and works click one of the links below and install a new browser ;)

Firefox - https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-stub&os=win&lang=en-GB
Chrome - https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/thankyou.html?brand=CHMO&statcb=1&installdataindex=defaultbrowser
