Thumbnails not appearing, only blue landscape.

So I have a windows 8 and when I save pictures from my twitter they appear as a blue landscape photo, I've tried unchecking the "show icons only, not thumbnails" box and it's worked for some but there are other thumbnails with the same landscape icon but they have blue edges that make it different. I think it may be locked i'm not sure but nothing is working. PLEASE HELP, I HONESTLY CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THE THUMBNAILS

Not sure what you mean by Blue Landscape, could you post a screenshot?

Hit 'Screenshot' key and highlight the image you want. Choose 'Upload' then 'Open'
When the image appears in a new window, Rt click on the image and choose 'Properties'. Highlight the URL as shown below, then copy, (Ctrl C)
