i have heard that some graphic's cards are backward compatible and i have also heard that sometimes you get a little bit of bottleneck and will the radeon hd7850 work with my cpu which is a a10 6790k

probably not, do u know whether it is pci e 1.1?

then it may work, but you will suffer lots of performance loss

Your APU is a socket FM2, so should be PCI-E 2 and you won't be bottlenecked, what actual mobo model?
