I'm thinking about upgrading my monitor and maybe GPU.

I would like a decent 24(ish) IPS monitor 1080p/1200p and maybe a 770 or 780 gpu.
I'm wondering if these are worthwhile upgrades for what I already have. Am I wasting money? Perhaps I should be upgrading something else first?

This is my gaming machine. More Single Players and MMOs than multiplayer FPS these days (think im getting too old to have the twitch)

Current build is this:

-Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3ghz Sandy Bridge Quad Core OCd to 4.2ghz
-ASUS P8P67 PRO LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
-G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
-EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 660 2GB
-CORSAIR HX650 650w Power Supply
-WD 250gb SSD + wd 3tb HDD
-Windows 7 64bit
-ASUS VH222H Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen 16:9 Full HD 1080P Monitor

A 770 or 780 will definitely be the best help gaming wise. The rest of the system looks fine. I would first upgrade the graphics card and then later the monitor.
