Hello wonderful Tom's hardwareians! Names Del, I have a peculiar problem I was hoping could shed some light on for me.

System specs -
R9 280x Stock
Corsair cx750m
Intel i5 3450

Benq XL2420T (Displayport)
Benq GL2450-B (Dual-link DVI)

SO heres the issue. Yesterday evening I upgraded my PSU from a 630 watt Rosewill PSU to my current Corsair CX750m. Hooked everything back up and now my XL2420T is giving me display port errors, specifically "Display port link failure" and "Display port lower settings applied". It's forcing my monitor to lower resolutions and refresh rates. Normally I run it at 1920x1080 with 120hz refresh rate. Its currently running at 1680x1050 at 60hz and not allowing or even giving the option to go higher.

I haven't changed out any of the cables and the only hardware change was the power supply. I re-installed the video drivers already and that hasn't had any effect. Now before you say dying monitor, or bad cable the monitor/cable was working just fine roughly 18 hours ago...

I've also tried the other display-port input on my GPU and have received the same results. I've also tried hooking my GL2450-B to one of the display ports using DVI-DP and it works just fine.

Anyways, appreciate you taking the time and reading this and (hopefully) providing some advice for this obnoxiousness ): thanks guys!

Solution
Hi and welcome to toms hardware!

I would try taking off all screens and try each one individually in the DP and DVI ports, this may get a good understanding of the issue.
