I bought a gaming laptop over the summer (lenovo y410p) so i could play games like skyrim and guild wars 2. when i first got it the first thing i did was buy skyrim and download a bunch of mods, the game ran smoothly with constant 60fps and the occasional drop to 58 frames in town. Now when i try to play skyrim with the same exact mods and settings i get only about 25 fps and this is not just happening with skyrim, i find that all my old games are running ridiculously slow as well as new games. I cant figure out the program, i installed a new virus scanner which found nothing, my processes are all working fine, my cpu doesn't go over 10%, and my memory doesn't go over 25%. I have the newest nvidia driver too. I also cleaned out my fan and have no airflow restriction. I think i might have a virus somewhere or something but i can't find anything in processes using up any substantial resources. any help is very appreciated, i'm getting desperate...

" my processes are all working fine, my cpu doesn't go over 10%, and my memory doesn't go over 25%"

you are obviously not reporting in game numbers. if you think you are you're doing it wrong. while i highly doubt you were running skyrim at 60 fps with a bunch of mods... ignore damric he's just being a tool
