Have an HP dx2450 (mobo m2n68-la) w/ AMD dual-core 4450B. Installed a Samsung 250GB SSD, moved the OS to the SSD drive and then upgraded to Win 8 Pro 32bit. Works great! But computer does not recognize existence of the old HDD. It does appear in the BIOS and Device Manager sees the drive, but it does not appear at all in Disk Management. The SSD is plugged into SATA0, HDD plugged into SATA1. I've scoured the blogs here, but it seems most solutions involve the HDD appearing in Disk Mgmt and then it just needing to be formatted and a drive letter assigned. For my situation, I cannot seem to get to a place where I can see the drive or format it.

Partition Master was the solution - thanks dodger46! I should have thought of that. I downloaded that tool to my laptop and fixed a 8GB USB stick about 2 weeks ago. Worked perfect then and just worked for me now! Thanks much!
