Hey All,

With Broadwell not too far away, I was wonder weather I should build now or wait?

Here are the parts I have selected:

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/ramie92/saved/4zrR

CPU: i5 4670K
Cooler: 212 Evo
Mobo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
Ram: Cosrair Vengeance 8GB
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB Tri-X Toxic
Case: Fractal Design Define R4
PSU: XFX 750W ATX12V
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 128 GB
HDD: WDC Blue 1TB

Plus other parts the total will be around £1300-£1400

Can I improve for less money or even spend a few pounds more to improve

Thanks for a first time poster and builder!

Glad I solved your problem!

You may be able to get by with a slightly smaller XFX PSU - for example 650W.

For SSD, you can save some money by going with a EVO instead of PRO version of that SSD you've chosen.
The difference is not significant.

You can save a little more by picking a Crucial M500 SSD.
It has almost the same read speed as the Samsung, but for the 120 GB version of the M500 it only has around 1/4 of the write speed.
But read speed is the most imporant anyway.
The 240 GB version of the M500 actually has a 1/2 write speed compared to the Samsung, so that's not so bad a penalty IMO.
That's what I chose for the build I did just a few weeks ago.

Specs for the two SSD brands are here btw.:
