Best Cpu intel vs amd

Hi I am thinking of getting a new cpu and I am stuck between i7 or amd fx 9590 which do you think is best, if you have any better ideas say so

Well intel will consume way less power than the fx-9590 and fx will output way more heat than i7 and you will need some aftermarket cooler to keep it cool, also i7-4770K can be easily overclocked and it will perform better in gaming than the fx, I think the only area where fx is better than i7 is some kind of video encoding and some large multi tasking, but I definetly would go for Intel.

FX-9xxx are a waste of money, IMHO. You can OC the FX-83xx up near to them if you need.

For some uses the FX-8350 and 8320 can be good, but for gaming an i5 tend to be better. There's little difference from the extra threads of the i7.

This looks like it's going to turn into a flamewar. DON'T. This is a WARNING.

Definitely the i7. The FX 9590 is not worth it and not to mention it's TDP of 220W, meaning it will run pretty hot and will draw much power.
If you are interested in other AMD CPUs, the FX 8350 is much better option than the FX 9590
