Yesterday I put my Hard drive back in my PC after using it to see if another motherboard I'd scavenged worked. Once I'd put it in and turned my PC on I went to get my laptop from the other side of the room and when I looked back there was smoke billowing from my case. I immediately switched it off at the plug and opened up my case to see what had happened. It turns out that the power connector to my hard drive had shorted and now I cant use my hard drive. Is it possible to fix the hard drive? Thanks in advance.

The connections on my HDD are ruined so thats not possible also I have now cut off the power connector and blanked the wires so I can use another connector instead. Plus I'm using a CoolerMaster GX650W PSU
