Hello, I have been looking to buy Metro: Last Light from Steam, but don't want to buy if I'm going to be running at a really low FPS. I have run the system requirements test on Can I run it website and I passed the minimum requirements. The only thing that didn't pass the recommended test was my GPU as I have a APU processor.

Here are my PC specs, would you tell me if Metro Last Light would run smooth or should I wait until I get a better GPU?

CPU: AMD A10-7850K Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G

RAM: 8GB CORSAIR 2400MHZ - Dual channel.

OS: Windows 7 PRO

Video RAM is 2.1GB

SSD: 120GB muskin chronos.

Thanks...

At 720p it should run Metro perfectly at medium settings. At 1080p, it will struggle.

Ok, thanks for finding that. So do you think it's still worth buying metro for that Resolution?

Well if you are not some ultra gamer that every single frame makes a difference and you can't play below 1080p, then don't get it. If you are casual gamer, i am sure that you will enjoy playing at 720p.
Btw what speed is your RAM. RAM speed is the most important part on APUs.

Ok. To be honest I would like to run at 1080p but I think I could handle it at 720p. My RAM speed is 2133 atm. I need to get it 2400 which is the top end of my RAM. But as I have the gigabyte a88x g1 sniper board. It doesn't support 2400, so I was told I have to do some overclocking to get the RAM to 2400 ?

Stay with 2133, it is still pretty good speed for an APU. The problem would have been if you had told me that you have 1600Mhz speed. Some people don't understand that an APU requires more than 1866Mhz for the games to have more FPS.

I think you will be able to run at 1080p with lowest settings, but i am not sure about the FPS. Maybe 20-25FPS.

Alright. I will think about it. But thanks for the advice. You've been really helpful. Even though 1080p is better, 20-25 frames is just not playable for me.
