I'm building a new PC and have a Seasonic M12ii 620 Psu and an R9 290. The r9 290 has an 8pin and 6pin connecting point but none of my PSU's 8pin connectors fit! What should I do?!! Help!!

It should have 2 6+2 connectors which means that you can just detach the 2 extra pins on one of them.

EDIT: It has one 6+2 pin and another 6 pin, so they should work fine, perhaps you are orienting them incorrectly?

The power supply has 6 off 8 (6 + 2) pin connectors and 6 off 6 pin connectors.

Haven't you ever done this before? Did you look at the psu manual/brochure?

Hi Melsyo,
according to your PSU specs you should have

PCI-Express Connector
1 x 6-Pin, 1 x 6+2-Pin

your r9 290 should have
1 x 6-Pin socket and 1 x8-Pin socket ?

where is the problem ? are you sure you are using the right cables ?
the 8 pin will be the 6+2 pcie cable to make the 8pin
