I have a P755 that's been working fine but this morning I tried to turn it on and the screen in black. I've tried removing the battery/disconnect the power cable thing twice with no results. The fan turns on but sounds like it doesn't fully turn on like normal. Last night I closed it and normally after about 10 seconds it turns off but this morning the power button was still lit when I opened it. I've tried holding the power button and the ESC key as well.

We can suggest a few simple steps, though if these don't work it might need to be taken to a repair shop. Anyway, first thing: after you unplug it and pull out the battery hold down the power button for ten seconds. It won't start of course but it should clear any residual charge off the board. Then try again.

Also, observe the system carefully on a startup. DO you notice the HDD indicator flashing, if you let it run do you hear the Windows startup chime? If you press on the keyboard does it beep? If you have an external monitor try to start it with that connected.
