Solution
if you have LITERALLY read EVERY forum thread and tried EVERYTHING ( you haven't liar) then how would we help you? if you are that sure then contact AMD no one else could possibly help

i think you didn't install the correct driver for your hardware. You can manually select the required driver for your system if you are getting the driver from http://support.amd.com/en-us/download. for example if you are using APU then select it or select the desktop graphics if you are using a graphics card. Also select the exact model/series of the card and the operating system that you are using.

'Warnings occurred during installation' and nothing is downloaded. And I don't know if this is normal but when I press custom as install method, there is only one thing listed which is the CIM thing.

BTW this is for a new r9 270x I just installed. The fans and everything are working but I'm not sure if it's actually installed in.

check your system if its detecting your R9-270x using gpu-z. how long you been using your R9-270x? Also try to install the latest amd catalyst software if you haven' tried.

I've had the card for a week but I'm only now installing it. And I can't install the catalyst software because of the above issues. GPUZ isn't detecting it, only the onboard intel gpu

So it means the correct driver for your R9-270x is not installed. if you haven't tried yet try to download the driver from http://support.amd.com/en-us/download select "Desktop Graphics","Radeon R9 Series","Radeon R9 2xx Series", and your operating system.

have you tried to install the software/DVD included in the package of your R9 270x?

i hope that the problem is on the driver :)

I'm so embarrassed. So I had only one 6 pin pcie connecter plugged in when it actually required 2. I plugged the 2nd one in and boom, perfect install. Sorry for wasting your time but also thank you for it :)

If you don't really get what the man is talking about, you shouldn't answer. In fact, why feel the need to open your mouth, at all, if you've got nothing to contribute? And, no, the installation was NOT successful - if you bother to think for a minute, why would the man have posted this, if it had been, just to give you an opportunity to "shine"?
