Installed new GPU (EVGA GTX 780) and now the computer won't shut down completely.

Installation was fine, but when I go to turn off the computer it just indefinitely hangs at the "shutting down" screen.

OS - Win7
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel MoB
cooler master extreme 2 625 psu (or something)

Came from AMD Radeon HD 6850, but all old drivers have been removed.

Thanks!

I remember having the same problem as this and upgrading the PSU resolved the issue.

But what was your card's required amount and what did you up it to?

My card requires 600 min, I'm at 625

I had a 460w OEM PSU and upgraded to a 600w Corsair PSU. My GPU requires 450w. Cooler Master's PSUs are not very reliable and that GTX 780 is really pushing it. You should upgrade to a better brand 700w+ PSU. XFX, Silverstone, and Antec make very good ones.
