A week or so ago, my computer randomly began getting these staticky lines across the screen, It then BSOD right afterwards. I thought "It's something to do with windows, I bet". But it didn't boot from there, and BSOD, so I put it into safe mode, where it BSOD again, and into recovery mode, where it also BSOD. The computer was just running on the iGPU at the time.

Specs: i5 4670k, MSI Z87m-G43, Kingston SSDNow v300

I thought my SSD bit the dust, but I could hook it up to other computers and such just fine. So I backed up all my stuff.

I got fed up windows, and put Puppy Linux on a drive, and booted from it. The lines were still across the screen. The looked like the static on TV's into small, 10 px tallish lines. I then thought "Maybe its the monitor, or the DVI port." So I tried 2 different monitors and DVI, HDMI, and VGA. no cigar.

Interesting fact: these lines only appear in Puppy Linux and windows, not MEMTest or the BIOS.

I then decided to remove one stick of RAM, and it worked fine! I proceeded to test each stick of ram in each slot and it seemed one was defective. I then got a MEMtest86 ISO and began testing the RAM. No errors for when tested alone. OK. lets test them both together. No errors.

This is really confusing me. I'd appreciate it if anyone can help out.

Thanks!
-Steven

I tried all of those except breadboarding before I made this post, I'll try it in a bit.
