Changing BIOS Resolution

I've recently bought a pretty good PC that has more than enough power for pretty much every game I try to go on but there's one thing that's stopping me from doing that, the Dedicated Video RAM.

I know i need to change it from 758mb to 1gb through the BIOS but when i actually go into it all that is visible on the monitor is the very top left zoomed in. I've tried different monitors, TVs both with HDMI and VGA leads. Is there any other way to change the resolution on the OS's side?

The computer is completely fine and it all works fine, just OCing is the issue.

Thanks
