Good day!

Can someone help me with my problem on my cpu temp and core temp. I don't have expert experience on temperatures. My cpu temp is too high and I am afraid to use this computer.

Is this temperature normal?
cpu case - CoolerMaster elite 372
cpu - intel i3 2100
gpu - msi gtx 750ti
ram - 4 gb kingston (1 stick)
psu - antec vp550p
mobo - Asus P8H61M LX
case fans - 1x 120mm side panel (intake) , 1x 90mm bottom (intake) , 1x 120mm rear (exhaust)

There's nothing wrong with your system because the temperatures are fine in the BIOS and the CPU isn't idle. When I bought my i7-3770, I ran Prime95 torture tests for 12 hours and the stock fan did its job (according to the Intel motherboard utility). Same with my non-overclocked Q6600 that runs fine with the stock cooler. Both systems run 24x7 with no crashes for at least a year.

Your PSU also is fine because the BIOS shows +12v at 12.096v, but SpeedFan reported 6.65v and there's no way a system would work if that reading was accurate. Stop using programs like that and you'll be happier with your system. Extreme gaming is not as bad as Prime95 torture tests; unless I overclocked, I use the stock fan and I never had issues (even on my...

I think you most likely need something like a hper 212 evo as it will greatly decrease the temps

So the cpu cooler is the problem? it can't cool off the cpu?

Well, what kind of work are you doing? If it is intense gaming, then you need to get an aftermarket cooler. If not, then you probably have applied too little or too much thermal paste which can also increase temps

An aftermarket cooler definitely isn't required for that CPU. Apparently RealTemp is the only software that read the temperature correctly. Are you checking temperatures because you have an issue? What temperatures do the tools provided by the motherboard manufacturer show? If SpeedFan was correct, then the PSU would also need to be repalced because the voltages are way off and the system wouldn't run at all.

So SpeedFan is the problem? I only have the stock intel cpu cooler. And I am doing some intense gaming. Am I pushing the cpu too far? I have been also using the psu for a month now, is there a problem in it?

This is my BIOS readings.

Thanks for the help.

You need a hyper 212 plus for extreme gaming. When gaming, the cpu can run very hot and that can really affect the performance of the game. A hyper 212 is necessary as that stock cooler won't do crap

thanks. I'm gonna replace my cooler. 1 more thing
i got this reading. cpu temp is colored green on the chart and it is running around 70c while gaming. and on idle runs around 90c. i think the temp monitor is wrong?

Don't you have utilities with your motherboard to display voltages and temperatures?
