Good afternoon all,
Yesterday my unit appears to have crashed. I came in, turned it on and got the following: Reboot and Select Proper boot device. Ok figure I boot to bios and check settings. It seems I am unable to boot into even the bios and am not sure why! I have the following MB: MSI Computer Corp. Socket AM3+ AMD 970 ATX Motherboard 970A-G43. Can any one give a hand as to how to at least boot to bios and check things or do I need to get a new mb?

Hi

User guide will tell you which key for bios
In case faulty hard disk is causing problem disconnect data cable from hard disk

Boot up into bios
Re load defaults
Shutdown
Re connect data cable for hard disk
Boot into bios & check boot order

If more than one hard disk possible bios is selecting wrong drive to boot from
So disconnect both drives

Then connect boot drive if you know which on that is

Regards

Interesting the jbat jumper was missing on the MB. I nserted one and at first was nogo, black screen. I then removed it and was able to get to the bios. Right now doing a restore and hoping that does it, will keep all posted
