After installing a new motherboard and CPU, i've found that if I have a game open in the background and am doing something else (google chrome, anything on desktop) my computer will eventually bluescreen. This is horrible, I hope you can help :/

I ran the cleaner. The registry I did multiple times and fixed about 200 issues. Any other ideas/

It's been about a month. I'll keep running it until nothing shows up. Is there something i should do after this, or should I just go on with my life and post back if it BSODs again?

I would do a re-boot between CCleaner runs and a defrag. When CCleaner finally finds no more problems, re-boot/defrag again and try your PC as you normally would and see if it still BSODs.

If the issue is still there, the next thing to test is the memory. A defective stick can cause a BSOD. Download memtest http://www.memtest.org/
... it will make a bootable CD from the .ISO file you download. With a single stick of memory in the 1st slot as per your MB manual, boot to the CD and let it run for at least 1 FULL pass. If ANY errors appear in that time, the stick of RAM is defective.
Then try the other stick(s) individually.

How do I defrag? Sorry
Edit: found out how, I'll get back to you if it reoccurs

Okay it happened again and i've checked and all of my RAM sticks are good. Any other ideas?

Okay
CPU: Brand new AMD FX 8350 4.0Ghz 8 Core
MOBO: Brand new Asus m5a97 le r2.0
GPU: GTX 680
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

So here's a problem that might be happening
When I installed my new motherboard, It took half of my 8gb of RAM for "system reserved" and I couldn't figure out how to get the 4gb back so I went out and bought 8 more GB of RAM. They are correct for my MOBO (DDR3 and such)
Are my 2 pairs of RAM not compatible?

Do BSOD's say somewhere why it happened?

Whoa. That's news.
First, there should not be 4GB of system memory set aside for "system reserve", whatever that is. You're not confusing it with the HDD space set aside for Windows system reserve partition, are you? That is HDD space, not system memory space.

Second, what are the make/model of the sticks of RAM you have installed?

Here is my original RAM
8GB DDR3 1333 (2 x 4GB) Memory w/ CL9 Timings
I don't know about my new ram though
Is there a way that I can find out how my RAM is divided up?

Wait. You don't know the brand and model number of the RAM you put in your system? Did someone else build this for you?
In a dual channel memory system, the pair of sticks in channel A and Channel B must match EXACTLY for trouble-free operation. If you added a 3rd stick of memory to one of the other channel slots, remove it and see if the issue remains.

You can run CPU-Z and it will tell you the make/model of the memory in each slot. http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Or you can open the case and look inside.

CPU-Z is showing the matched pairs in slots 1 and 2, and 3 and 4. If that is correct, they are in the wrong slots for best stability. The MATCHED pairs should be in opposite channels of the same set of slots. According to page 1-9 of your motherboard manual, the 2 x PNY sticks should be in same-color slots and the 2 x Supertalent sticks should be in the other color slots. Dual channel memory relies on the timings, voltage, lot, brand be identical. That may be why your 1st pick of CPU-Z shows only single channel.

Also, I noticed that the timings for the RAM is slightly different. That may be an issue too. You should really try to keep all sticks the same for dual channel memory.

So look at the 4 DIMM slots and see if the matched pairs are in same-color slots.

1) If not move them where they belong.
2) If all is well, remove the 2 Supertalent sticks and run with just the PNY sticks in the correct slots. See if the issue is gone.

They are in the correct slots. I will remove the 2 supertalent sticks tomorrow and see what happens, but another problem is that all of my RAM is cut in half! Can I counter this or am I fooked?
