I am trying to choose what color WD Drive I need. There much difference? I will be gaming and doing a little bit of video editing. I could save some money going for the blue, but how does it compare against the black? This drive will also be my OS drive.

From what I have heard the speed difference is only slight between the two. The black is supposedly more reliable and usually comes with a better warranty. I'd go black myself but blue is a perfectly good choice if you'd like to save some bucks, not a big difference either way.

black, then - it is the fastest option and the one I'd recommend for the system drive.
blue is an all rounder - good for a drive you host your games on and crap like that.
red is for nas - good, reliable, can run 24/7
green is for waste management - movies, series, pictures, documents, backups...
