Hello my names David I am 16 and recently built my first computer, everything went fine at first no problems turned on fine, But when it boots up one of the power buttons on my case flashes red. The computer still starts up and I began to try to install my windows 7 on it. Everything went fine until it was asking me to add my hard drive/ partition it but it couldn't detect my hard drive and I don't know what to do, I've been checking to make sure I put it together right everything's screwed in good and has the correct cables plugged in and according to my manuals I've plugged everything in right and I am out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What's the specs?
You probably need the Intel RST drivers. Unzip and put it on a USB drive, then when it's asking you where to install there should be a link at the bottom about drivers. Click it and go to the USB drive.

Can you make certain that the HDD is connected to both power + data cables?

The block of four or eight pins is for jumpers; you shouldn't need to do anything with those.
Is it visible in the BIOS? Can you feel it spin up?
