I'm looking for a gaming rig and I've seen several choices, but I'm sorta lost here. I've been considering the following.

AMD FX8350 8x4.0GHz
8GB Kingston Value RAM DDR3-1600
GTX 750TI 2GB
ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
500 Watt LC500H-12 V2.2 SILENT

Intel Core i5 Haswell 4670 4x3,40GHz
MSI H81M-E33 V2
8GB DDR3 PC1600
Nvidia Geforce GTX760 2GB HDMI

- Mainboard: MSI B85-G41
- CPU: Intel Core i7 - 4770 Haswell
- 8 GB DDR3RAM PC 1600 - Dual Channel
- Palit Geforce GTX750Ti - 2GB OC Storm X
-Thermaltake 530W- 80Plus

3.8GHz AMD FX 4300
2 GB nVidia Geforce GTX 770
GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
600W PSU
8 GB

Other than those, I've come across these 2 used rigs

AMD FX 8350 (8x 4,00GHZ)
Powercolor HD7870 GHZ Edition
8gb DDR3 1866 G-Skill Sniper
Corsair CX500M 500Watt
Gigabyte 970A-UD3 (Revision 3.0)

AMD 8350
ASUS Crosshair Formula V
GTX 670
8GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance
500 Watt PCU

They're priced fairly similarly (~700 Euros), so I wanted to ask how good one of those would be for gaming and how well would it go into the future? Or am I better of making one of my own?

It's a bit hard to choose. There's one with a GTX770, which would be the strongest build graphically, but it has a FX4300 CPU. The CPU could bottleneck that GPU a bit.

i7 4770 with a GTX750Ti, probably not a good enough GPU for such an epic CPU.

I'd say the Core i5 4670 with the GTX760 is a nice build, but with a GTX770 would be even better.
