it doesn't work that way, the GPU cores and CPU cores are different, underclocking one won't help the other.

that won't do a whole lot, the GPU is important and underclocking it will only give you worse off performance.

If you have a graphics card (and not using dual graphics with the APU) the GPU is already disabled, so it's not producing any heat.

just disable integrated graphics, if it already is, underclocking won't make a difference as it won't even be active. If you aren;t using motherboard video ports, the integrated graphics won't even be enabled, so it shouldn't be an issue.
