I am building a computer and I've run into a problem. I can only get the computer to turn on and go to the BIOS when i uninstall my GPU. I'm using the Sapphire Radeon R9 280x. If anyone has any idea how to get my computer to work with my graphics card it would help a lot.

Is it in the primary PCIEX16 slot? It should be marked PCIEX16_01 or something similar.

Are the PCI Power cables plugged in correctly?

Could be a faulty card.

Can you either:

Try the card in another PC, or

Try another card in the PC?

At the moment I'm not looking to have to purchase a new graphics card considering i spent a lot of money on it and would not like to give up on it yet. I can't really put the card in another computer either.

If your computer won't turn on with the card installed, it seems likely that either the card is faulty or the motherboard is faulty. I'm not sure what else you can do beyond what I suggested.

Perhaps someone else will have an idea, sorry mate
