I am building my first PC soon.
Here is my list:http://pcpartpicker.com/user/mckinstryt/saved/4yFe

As you can see I like red parts. Is this a good setup for intermediate level gaming pc? Are the parts compatible? Is this a good GPU

That looks better. personalty id get a cheaper case and put the extra money into a better PSU. The cx is kinda cheap and if you are spending over a 1000 on a pc you should get something high quality with solid capacitors. something like the xfx pro series or antec hcg m is really cheap right now and would allow for future sli. also evga makes several in the same price range that are better.

- You chose a ton of red parts but got a case without a window.
- If you can get away from the red parts idea, you could save some money (the motherboard is particularly expensive, you could get one almost the same for $100)
- The GPU is good but with a $1100 budget you could probably fit a GTX 770 which would be even better.

The Fractal Design case you picked is great. I have the same case without LED's and it looks fantastic. If you can spend $15 more, NZXT makes a strip of LED's that can be turned on and off and have brightness settings. It's great for night gaming and the times when you want to show off your setup. http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-CB-LED20-BU-2-Metres-Sensitivity-Sleeved/dp/B0046Y5Z5G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399261777&sr=8-1&keywords=nzxt+light

Also, you picked the blackout version of the Define R4 case, which is $20 more expensive than the normal case. I have the regular Black Pearl version that is identical, but has white fans instead of black fans.
