This is my current setup. I play on a single 1080 monitor right now so I can play most games at Max although some games like Far Cry 3 I have to lower the AA settings to 2xMSAA for good FPS(45+) for me. I used PCpartpicker to make the list so the HDD and DVD/CD drive are place holder. With this setup can I power a 780ti? My PSU is 3 years old and those dang PSU calculators and cap aging worry me. And should I get one? I'd really like to wait for the 800 series but the upgrade itch is getting harder and harder not to scratch.

Solution
the GTX 780Ti will not be able to max out games for longer over the GTX 780, the don't perform significantly better then the other. Your best bet for maxing out games for longer would be the R9 290X, with 4GB GDDR5 Vram. Though the GTX 780Ti is the faster card, mantle engines are more often being put in modern day games, making it perform better due to better drivers

I know I've seen reviews of factory OC'ed 780's benchmarked and in some cases beat a reference 780ti and they cost $100-150 less but If I do got with a 7xx series card and spend well over $400 Id like to get the best to last me longer gaming at or near max till I guess whenever the 9xx series hits...unless that rash comes back...

I would dive in for a 290x in a second for just the performance and price of the dang thing, if I weren't so mad in love with the Green team. The last AMD card i had was a x1650 pro.
