I recently upgraded from a HDD boot drive to and ssd (Samsung Evo 120 gb) at first, i was having problems with the intel rapid storage driver (i would BSOD when i opened a certain app) so i removed it. about a week later, without the driver, my startup times went from 6.4s to 8.5s, why is this happening?! is the intel rapid storage driver necessary?

Im running a i5 3570k, msi z77 g45 a mobo, 8 gb gskill ripjaw x and a gtx 660

I might have installed a few, i did disable some, but also, the boot up times were either the same as when i was on hdd or worse? why is that?
