My HP pavillion 15-e055sx laptop has 2 usb 3.0 ports on it's side, it used to work well before but recently its really slow.

I used to plug my 2.0 mouse there but now i am forced to use the 2.0 port near my mouse area. Also when i plug in a USB thumb drive, it works, but really really slow, and also I have tried plugging in a graphics tablet (which I used to use here also), it......is.....like....this.....when it works.

Pardon my messy information, but i hope it helps understanding my problem.

Thank you!

Hi,

Try updating your Laptop's BIOS firmware and also update your chipset drivers. If it doesn't resolve your problem back up your important files and data and do a OEM full system recovery to restore your laptop back to factory settings and update all the drivers needed.

I shall try this, but I have no idea how to update a BIOS and chipset, and from what I have learned from what I searched online is that it could be dangerous and/or risky for me who has no experience in doing such. It would be of much help to have tips.

I really don't know why it could happen. the usb ports were performing quite well, but suddenly its like this. :/

Thanks for the help, I'll look more into it and post here if anything happens.
