Antec Kuhler 620 with PWM Fan?

I have an Antec Kuhler 620 closed loop system on my 3570k. The Antec fan was way too loud and always ran at 100%. I ordered a PWM Cougar fan, and now when I plug it into the pump connector I get no fan movement, The fan itself does work, but I assume it has to do with the Antec connector since it has only 2 pins. Any way I can make this work and still monitor CPU temps/control the fan speed?

Solution

Since it's a pwm fan and you would connect it to the cpu fan header (=4pin) on the motherboard should the motherboard controll that fanspeed.

Hi, the fan of our 620 Kuhler will always run at full speed. Thats why it does not need to be a PWM fan and your Cougar fan does not fit.
You can replace it with a normal fan, but this would void the warranty. The internal firmware of the cooler will also spin the always at full speed.

No, the Antec setup makes no sense and I have to plug it into the pump, then the pump connects to the mobo. Guess I'm getting rid of it cause the thing is louder than hell.

It works but I have no control over the fan speed relative to the CPU temp.
