Your build is pretty solid mate you won't need i7 for gaming a 4th gen i5 is more than enough and 16 gb of ram is a bit of overkill 8gb is enough also the psu is a bit high I am pretty sure you could run this on a good 650w psu nice to have that fully modular psu for cable management. Hope that helped.

If your looking for a good gaming machine always spend more on your GPU than your CPU. The gtx 750 ti is okay but I'd doesn't even come close to a 780.

Yes that build is probably the best you can do for your money, Might want to check the shipping on it though, it might creep up closer to $1500.

I wouldn't go with windows 8 or the SSD though. Windows 7 is less of a hassle to use, and the SSD is pointless for gaming, only effects loading times.

Get the I5 instead of I7, and you don't really have to get the liquid cooler on the Cpu to be honest, save money, get the cm evo 212. Windows 8 really isn't a hassle at all... If you absolutely want an ssd, get a smaller one for the os and one or two important games, then a hdd for other stuff. Not sure about evga Psu costs right now, but I prefer them, just preference. Only need 8g of ram. Get a stronger gpu for sure, at least a Gtx 770 or r9 280x.

It is VERY easy to build. Took me about an hour, so for a beginner it will take you maybe 2 hours.

I would get these specs:

Intel Core i7 (best one for gaming on CPU intensive games like Arma 3)
Asus Motherboard
1 TB Seagate HDD
Nvidia Graphics Card with 2 gigs of allocated ram; choose GDDR5 if you can
Windows 7 Home Premium
8-16 gigs of RAM (16 to future proof)

Got it loaded, the build on the op's post is fine.

On many Windows 8.1 systems, Morrowind and Oblivion give a runtime error and will never play. Newer games work just fine on it. I tested all of this on 3 windows 8.1 PCs.
